What is it about Jack Layton?
He's a fairly handsome man. He's probably a decent sort, not often getting into drunken fistfights in bars. I suspect he's quite sincere about his beliefs, and I think he thinks that his beliefs have value for Canada and the world
So why is it that every time I see him, I want to hit him with a shovel?

Ah, that's a natural, healthy defense mechanism against petty tyrants. The man's a megalomaniac. He's turning his party into a personality cult, and I think he's the sort of person that, if he ever achieved power would have statues of himself in every town square in the country. Best to whack him with a shovel before he gets a chance.

Who will you vote for then?
Who's the leader of your Shovel Party?

Somehow I can't muster up any sort of righteous anger or hatred against Layton. He's just the current party leader. He's not even a woman or a visible minority, which begs the question of how the hell the NDP elected him in the first place... but anyway... if not Layton, the wackos would have another leader. The NDP is just a bunch of useful idiots - useful in that they keep the Libs from steering too far left.
And as for Layton, it's the moustache, I think.
