i know a boy, a boy called trampoline
You know what i mean
i think you know what he wants
I have no idea what he wants. Probably sex. On a trampoline. With the Party Girl.
While pondering this riddle, you might want to play a dopey game, financed, I note, with Canadian taxpayer dollars. It's actually preferable to most of the other things that the Canadian taxpayer funds.

I think there was a reason that song was left for a B-side: it is probably the worst song U2 ever recorded. The lyrics are just about on par with Puddle of Mudd, and the singing is brutal.
Having said that, your interpretation has been uh..interesting. I'll have to relisten.

Actually I've never heard it, though it does indeed sound crappy. But it's the only song anywhere that I can find that has "trampoline" in the title.
I probably spent more time searching for it than U2 did writing it.

Party Girl has always been one of my favorite songs..never quite understood why...the lyrics are rather rudimentary. Its just a fun song. Its always been rather popular with U2 crowds..which is how it ended up as a regular song on the live set and how it got on the B-sides collection for 80-90.
Bono's take on it: "On one of those occassions where they were trying to thrown us out of the studio, we had to come up with something on the spot. We came up with Party Girl, which was originally Trash, Trampoline and the Party Girl, they were three characters. I was thinking of one particular character in the band. It was just something that was going on at the time. It's not really about Adam... I was just making it up as I went along."
