Cold Comfort

Swimmer31

Striking paintings (most in watercolor, some acrylics) by Carol Carter. This one (the title of the post) can be yours for the low, low price of $3,300 (US).

And if I had a spare $3,300 (US) I'd definitely consider buying it. I love the depth and luminance of watercolors.

have to admit, i'm not a very artsy person. although i recognized that the entire ripple effect must've taken a lot of craftsmanship, the first thing that came to mind was "SEXY! ...maybe a bit plump".

now that i'm ashamed of myself, i'm also reminded about the quote "the only different between artistic photography and pornography is how much you pay the photographer." hope you don't mind.

>_>

Well, to paraphrase George S. Kaufman -- One man's meat is another man's perversion.

Long before I became an unsuccessful blogger, I was an unsuccessful watercolorist.

It's (I mean working in watercolor) such an unforgiving medium that I can't help but be in awe of someone who nails each and every brushstroke.
