The challenges facing government during the next several years are immense. The Liberals must indeed be power hungry (or believe it is their natural right to be the governing party) if they want so badly to be bring back deficit spending NDP style. It is a measure of their colossal gall after they have been so clearly repudiated by the Canadian people to seek to foist the inherent instability of their inconvenient marriage on the country.
They've got Pestilence, War and Death covered; rumor has it that Lizzie May might yet capture the Famine slot.

Yes, Dion's strongest supporter for shutting down the Oilsands and imposing a carbon tax.
Lizzy May is a must for any good coup.

Its a minority parliament. You need to get the support of at least half of the elected members of parliament to pass legislation. That means working with one or more of the other parties.
I just don't understand how the Conservatives thought this would work if they treat everyone else like dirt. If the Conservative governmeent were to survive which party will they work with?
If Harper wanted to get anything done he should have thought of this before and tried to work a deal with one of the other legitimately elected parties.
You can't just go constantly on the attack and then expect cooperation

"I just don't understand how the Conservatives thought this would work if they treat everyone else like dirt"
Aarons - are you so thick that you only follow what the left tells you. Do you not remember Harper specifically asking the others to submit their ideas for how to handle the crisis and except for Duceppe the other two told him to stick it - most likely because they were already in the planning stages to overthrow him.
So Aarons - maybe you should tell your friends in the unholy alliance to take a look at how THEY refused to work with Harper - not the other way around.
Face it Aaron - as much as you want to spin this stupidity as being legal or being the majority, the optics are that it is a coup of a sitting government. If you are OK with that; well welcome to Zimbabwe-north; because given what these three spend and spend and spend idiots are about to do to this country, out best economy in the world is about to come crashing down.
So don't go on about cooperation when a mere 6 weeks after an election and a mere two weeks after the H o C rose, these three have decided he is not doing enough and decide to take him down under the guise of "the economy". Well Aaron, if the "economy" is so bad, how come we have the best rating in the world and everyone else is looking at what Stephen Harper did in this country to weather the storm.
Don't you dare preach that Stephen Harper is not cooperating; take a look in the mirror and see the true face of hypocrasy.

We are fortunate to live in a democracy. Democracy means “rule by the people”. The situation that is unfolding is unprecedented and Canadians should have a say. The Liberals and the NDP are holding talks aimed at defeating Canada's government and forming a coalition with the support of the Quebec separatists.
Support democracy and rally for Canada

By the way, others are referring to them as the Three Stooges.
While Horsemen of the Apocalypse is accurate enough, its not nearly derogatory enough IMO.
