Really, though — perhaps calling London’s Olympic preparations “disconcerting” was mildly uncomfortable and could’ve been said differently, but otherwise, I’m not seeing the gaffes. As Ed recounted earlier, Romney had a great showing in Poland, and I must’ve missed the part where angering the overly-sensitive Palestinians by merely speaking the truth is supposed to be cause for alarm. Maybe I’m lacking some nuance here, but I don’t see the average American voter reading too much more into this than I am.
Besides, Romney displayed admirable restraint by not pointing out the obvious -- there's nothing wrong with Palestine, except of course that it's chock-a-block full of Palestinians, who tend to be quite obnoxious when in groups of two or more. You could ask the Jordanians about that.
